Disney Date

Clara Jo and I had an opportunity to go on a mother/daughter date. Disney's World on Ice was coming and I knew that was something we both would really enjoy. Clara is just getting into Disney and learning all of the characters from the movies. Eric and I talked about taking her but the tickets where pretty expensive. Then I got a magazine in the mail that had a coupon for a great discount so I was sold. I called Eric at work and told him that I had  bought two tickets so one of us could go and one could stay home with little sis.  I also told him I would really like to be the parent who went. He didn't argue. Clara's favorites besides Mickey and Minne Mouse were the characters from Finding Nemo, the Little Mermaid, and The Lion King. I enjoyed all of it and felt like I was getting in touch with my child within! :)

Gracie Lately

Can my Gracie really be almost 7 months old already? She is such a good baby and is a total joy. I love how fat and chubby she is. Her rolls and thunder thighs make me so happy. I love that she can smile so easily and it doesn't take much to make her laugh. She loves to laugh at her older sister and her dog Chesney. Sometimes I wished she took a binky and sometimes I am not a fan of her getting up at 4:00 a.m. every friggin morning. However, I wouldn't trade her for anything. Here are some pictures of Gracie hanging around.

Run Turkey Run

So a week or so ago, Eric and I ran our first 5K! It was such a fun adventure that we did together. Soon after Gracie was born, after the healing and getting your body back stage of life, Eric and I started running on Saturdays. I would run while he stayed home with the girls and visa versa. As the weeks and months passed, we started to build up on how far we could run. So we decided to participate in a Turkey Trot 5K! So Eric rocked it in his age division. He got fourth place. I also rocked it.... getting 21st place in my age division. Oh yes...I did say 21st. Watch out!! At one point, I had a grandma in front of me and I told myself I was not going to let a grandma beat me. However, there are some mighty fit old people out there! :) As I was coming upon the finish line, Eric came and ran with me and gave me word of encouragement. It was a tender marriage moment! :)

Alive and Well

So I have a major reason for my lack of blogging. A few months ago, Blogger decide to change and get all funky on me. I couldn't figure out how to do new posts with pictures and such. However, early this morning, while Gracie was eating instead of sleeping, I figured out a way to blog once more. So we will be playing catch up. However, rest assured that we are indeed...alive and well.

Candy Time

Well it was hard to believe that the end of October was knocking on our door. Thanks to my cute friend and my sister... we were ready with cute borrowed costumes. We had an Elmo monster and a sweet pea in our midst! The Saturday night before Halloween, we went to our ward trunk or treat where Clara enjoyed going car to car to get her some treats. On the day of Halloween, I didn't have to work! Sweetness. So I took the girls to our school parade. My class loved seeing the girls in their costumes. THen we went to Daddy's work and oh how Clara scored there. She got lots of candy from Daddy's co workers. After Dad got home, we met up with some neighborhood friends and went trick or treating and had doughnuts and hot chocolae! It was a "sweet" kind of day!
