Arizona in August

Yeah, that is pretty much a hot combination! I had a little girls weekend get away with my two friends Andrea and Jill. We have a tightness like no other. We have been friends since the good ole' high school days and I just love them. No matter how long it has been or what each of us are up to... the tightness still remains. My cute Jill is getting married eternally soon, so we all got together for a few short days of fun, sun, and of course food! Although I really missed my Clara Jo, I did enjoy sleeping in and enjoying my dinner because I could eat it without sharing! Don't I sound loving?

So the only way Andrea and I could be happier is if we planned this trip during a time when we could fully appreciate the Arizona heat!

A little photo after we got back from church! My, don't we look spiritual?

Later after church, we headed to the temple where Andrea shot some footage for Jill's wedding video. I was quite the handy dandy assistant.

So here is Jill with her future ec, Jimmie! He is very high quality, however he and I don't see eye to eye on country music. I guess we will need to work on that!

Before we flew out Monday, we got some much needed pictures of us with the Arizona landscaping. I tested them out and they really do hurt!

What a fun and bonding trip! Oh how I am blessed with great friends!

July - Catchup

So before Eric's birthday, we ended the month of July. I looked at my camera and found some cute pictures to share of things that we did in July. So here it goes!

My Uncle Steve and Aunt Renee came out for a lenghty visit taking my cousin to baseball camp and EFY! They stayed with my mom and so we got to see them on several different occasions! It was so fun having them here and spending time with them. I love when I get to be around Southerners!! My Uncle Steve is crazy....just the way we like him. They both thought that little Clara Jo was pretty darn cute! Who am I to argue?

We had a couple of fun things that we did on Pioneer Day weekend. One night, we packed Clara in a hiking backpack and we treked up to Ensign Peak. We thought that was a fitting Pioneer Day activity and the view of Salt Lake City is amazing at the top. Clara Jo loved being in the backpack and seeing all there was to see.

Eric won some tickets to go to The Days of 47 Rodeo! So we went and ate a yummy dinner at Cracker Barrel and headed to the rodeo. We usually wouldn't take Clara Jo to something like this because she usually doesn't last too long! Since it was free we thought...why not? She did pretty darn good and loved to clap and dance with the music!

During the month of July, we took many trips to the park. We love to go pick up Subway and take it to the park and eat. Clara loves the park with the swings and the slides being her personal favorites. I love this picture of her.
