Our New Purple Friend

So this evening was a very exciting due to the fact that we made an exciting purchase. I bought a snazzy purple mountain bike. My sister Sonya inspired me. I went to her house this past week in Colorado and became a fan of her mountain bike! She was generous enough to donate to my bike fund in exchange for watching her chillins! So loving! I made Eric take me bike shopping soon after he picked me up from the airport. We found one at Target but then found one at Walmart that was $20 cheaper! Do you realize how many meals at Taco Bell you can buy with that?

Eric put it on his car rack and we drove it home. He loves me! :)

I am trying out the new purchase! I am feeling warm and fuzzy about this!

September 11th

We had scouts yesterday on September 11th so we decided that it would be neat to take our weblos to a healing field. This field had hundreds and perhaps thousands of flags in memory of those that have fallen in the fight against terrorism. It was cool to be there and the scouts seemed to like it. Is everyone aware how much we love our calling? Please notice the sarcasm! :)

Labor Day Va Kay

We had a great Labor Day! We decided to go on a little va kay (vacation)! We went to Park City for a couple days and had a blast! The first night that we got there, we checked into our hotel and then hit the outlet stores. Eric did very well at the outlets where he purchased not 1, not 2, but 3 pairs of shoes! He is trying to even out his side of the closet in shoe accumulation! I am still victorious however!

Then we went and ate dinner and went swimming in the resorts half indoor half outdoor pool. The next day we got up and went on a pretty hike near Deer Valley. We hiked to a lake where Eric and I had stone skipping contest and I was victorious... humble but victorious! We went swimming again before the big opening U of U game of the season. We ordered pizza and watched it. I was glad Utah won or else I would have had a grumpy va kay partner!

After the game, we rode the Alpine Coaster which was a blast! Then we ate again and went swimming again!

We came home Sunday and picked Chesney up and went to church with Mama Jo! Then we ate a yummy dinner and hung out the rest of the evening! We were excited to have another day off of work! The big adventure of Monday was my first attempt in giving Eric a hair cut! My sister Sonya taught me when she was here last but I was of a nervous nature! Good news is, I didn't royally mess it up! Bad news is, I am sure he has had better cuts! I am learning and he didn't fire me!

After our hair cutting adventure, we went and had lunch with my friend Cassah and her cute family who was in town! We ended our holiday weekend by picking up a slice of cheesecake at the Cheescake Factory and watching Jack Bauer (24). All in all is was a great day of labor!
